Gerald, Hold me.

Lions? And Tigers? And Bears. Oh My!

Me too.

I choose my friends by their good looks, my acquaintances for their characters and my enemies for their intellects. A man cannot be too careful of his choice of enemies.

Lord Henry.

The most wonderful character!
Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. He is delightful and delights in paradoxes. He also (that is Wilde) has a amazing ability to turn things that we know are wrong quite right and lovely in the process.

"He is always late on principle, his principle being that punctuality is the theif of time"

"To lose one parent may be regarded as misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness"
(This is not said by Lord Henry or in Picture of Dorian Gray but is by Oscar Wilde)

"Oh, brothers! I don't care for brothers! My elder brother wont die, and my younger brothers seem never to do anything else"

"In art, as in politics, les grandpéres ont toujours tort."

"It is a sad truth, but we have lost the faculty of giving lovely names to things. Names are everything. I never quarrel with actions. My one quarrel is with words. The man who could call a spade a spade should be compelled to use one. It is the only thing he is fit for."

"I fancy the true explanation is this. It often happens that the real tragedies of life occur in such an inartistic manner that they hurt us by their crude violence, their absolute incoherence, their absurd want of meaning, their entire lack of style. They affect us just as vulgarity affects us. They give us an impression of sheer brute force, and we revolt against that. Sometimes, however, tragedy that pocesses artistic elements of beauty crosses our lives. If these elements of beauty are real, the whole thing simply appeals to our dramatic effect. Suddenly we find we are no longer the actors, but the spectators of the play. Or rather we are both. We watch ourselves, and the mere wonder of the spectacle enthralls us."

Read Picture of Dorian Gray. It is wonderful.

As you see.

"The nice part about being a pessimist is that you are constantly being either proven right or pleasantly surprised. "
- George F. Will

Kissing Contest

This was the best I could find.
Watch and then I will tell you the story. (If I can remember, Eurovision was a while ago now.)

Okii. This is how it goes (off the top of my head).

In this year's Eurovision Song Contest before the contestants came on a postcard (vidoe with writing in their language) came up with something from Belgraid that they had in common with that country...

One was that this contortionist wanted to travel all over europe and was going to fit into a box (whicht they showed us) and her friends would post her to denmark or some such place.

For Greece we were told about this story:

Every year in the south of where-ever there is a kissing contest and the couple we were just watching won this year! Congrats!
From what I heard they didn't plan to stop the punishing regime of training.
Then again, a lot can happen in relationships in time.

The Universal

Can you decide which is best?
I know I carn't.

Exhibit A.
The Small Faces.

I know it's my fav rave of theirs.

Exhibit B
Blur.

What do you do?
This is my fav rave Blur song!

Really?

Yeah, I heard someone saw Miss G..... with a boyfriend!

Eurghhh.
Arrghh.
Eeeek.

What year was he in?

(I meant age - you know that!
No, we don't. Actualy.)

Ballroom Blitz

Oh, yeah. The Sweet. Everyone.

Moldy Old Dough

By Lieutenant Pidgeon.

?

Try not to, I don't recommend it.

Let your clouds out. They don't like staying inside too long. They get a bit restless, I find.

Yes,

I am stealing from you again, Catlinda. But only becuase I quoted it to Emily and she obviously hadn't watched it. Somehow mumbling 'whenever I'm nearter the theatre' then quietly laughing isn't that great for everyone else. Specialy when they don't get it...

(It was Rick Mayall, by the way...)

She Talks In The Stereo

Yay! I like it!

Love.

If this can make you not hate John maybe it can make you not be cranky with me?

I do realise that is just about the soul reason. But, please try this:

I listen to this when I'm very tired and sad and it's miraculous. I always get Alice In Wonderland pictures in my head. Myabe I could get two reason for NOT hating him?
I don't know.

You've Really Got a Hold On Me

It's a great song and She and Him do a great cover of it! Lovely lovely and I found myself singing along to it. No, no one else was in the room. Don't worry.

Not that it seems to stop me.

Just beacuse

I like her hair.

I have one aswell

It's on my wall. I tooke it myself. This reminded that to me.

Looke at me.

Just because I didn't write it doesn't mean I can't feel it.

I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud

I WANDERED lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
The stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Outdid the sparkling waves in glee;
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company;
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth to me the show had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

My favourite of his so far.

On a slightly lighter mood (if it csn be so)

I Sat Belonely

I sat belonely down a tree, humbled fat and small. A little lady sing to me I couldn't see at all.

I'm looking up and at the sky, to find such wonderous voice. Puzzly, puzzle, wonder why, I hear but I have no choice.

'Speak up, come forth, you ravel me', I potty menthol shout. 'I know you hiddy by this tree'. But still she won't come out.

Such sofly singing lulled me sleep, an hour or two or so I wakeny slow and took a peep and still no lady show.

Then suddy on a little twig I thought I see a sight, A tiny little tiny pig, that sing with all it's might

'I thought you were a lady', I giggle,-well I may, To my surprise the lady, got up-and flew away.

If you don't know who wrote either of those then go and looke them up. You should know. You will also looke very cultered once you do know.

Sorry

Everyone else can just go away. Sorry, everyone. But you can. Goodbye.

To The One Who Goes By the Name of Catty

(For anyone who is really nosey and doesn't know when to stop: Be amused by this....
- Oldest trick in a rather new booke)

Anyway.

What I am trying (and failing desperately at) is to say sorry.
Im not completely sure why or what but that doesn't really matter.
Sorry.
Have you been emailing me?
Have I not been getting your emails?
Or have you been ignoring me?
Am I the one who hasn't been responding to you?
Im sorry I was 'snarky' and all that crowd.
I didn't mean it. Honest.
I only thought that to just commuinicate through blogs would be terrible because it's not very personal. I'm not going to say exactly what I think about everything on my blog. I'll try but I would rather just share it with people who I know I can trust, understand and hopefully laugh with me about it later.
You see, the thing is last year, way back in Sing I wasn't so 'eurgh' as I am now. I'm much more moody, 'snarky' and generaly have mood swings. I go through mini depressions which you jokingly called 'creative depression'. I don't think I can give myself that credit but I would like it if you would forgive me and talk to me. Maybe even like me again. I would appreciate it.
So now I say 'Adieu' and bid you goodnight. Maybe on the morrow you would deign to talk to me?
It would be awfully nice. Anyroad. I shall get by. But let you know that it would be a much nicer existance with you influencing it.
I hope you are alright. No life threatening diseases? We can wish for the best.
I hope I haven't done any of those 'you did it something terrible and I do believe you don't even realise it' and I don't. I apologise in advance.

Now.

Do you recognise this?

I put it on here only a day or two ago.

My friend Emily gives me this link:

a what do I find?
Looke for yourself.
